Ambulance Services

Arcadia, Iowa ambulance services are provided by Carroll County Ambulance. The Carroll County Ambulance is a blend of full time and volunteer staff with facilities in Carroll and three other locations in the county. The Carroll County Ambulance Service provides emergency medical coverage to all 576 square miles of Carroll County. Paramedic staffed ambulances are based in Carroll, Breda, Coon Rapids and Manning, and respond to hundreds of calls per year.

Fire Department

Arcadia, Iowa Fire Department and Medical First Responders consist of local volunteers from throughout Arcadia and the surrounding area. Some of these outstanding volunteers have been on the department for over 30 years. Our volunteers organize and work their own fundraising efforts and are yearly participants in the Carroll County EMS Festival of Lights display at Swan Lake State Park throughout the holiday season. In addition to fundraising which provides much needed improvements and upgrades to gear and equipment the department also participates in the required ongoing trainings for firefighters, first responders and EMS personel. In July of 2016 the Arcadia Fire Department held their 100 year celebration and parade.

Law Enforcement

Arcadia, Iowa law enforcement is provided by the Carroll County Sheriff's Department. The Carroll County Sheriff's Department provides a variety of law enforcement related services to all citizens of the county. In addition to patrolling the county roads for traffic enforcement and responding to emergencies, the Deputies conduct investigations, act to serve legal papers in the civil law process, and provide education in law enforcement and public safety.
